Conversations on Health

At Healthy Tri-County, we are committed to addressing the underlying causes of health. Our "Conversations on Health" initiative is designed to foster meaningful dialogue, promote understanding, and drive actionable change within our communities.

For our second conversation of 2025, we are excited to welcome Simone Lee with The BEE Collective.  The BEE Collective will lead a discussion on strengthening support systems for pregnant and birthing individuals, parents, caregivers, and early educators. Their presentation will explore ways to foster emotional well-being during pregnancy and early parenthood, provide tools to navigate care and support systems, and build strong community networks. Through a collaborative approach, attendees will learn about community-driven strategies that uplift families, improve early childhood experiences, and create supportive environments for those navigating pregnancy, birth, and caregiving. This session will highlight the importance of shared knowledge and connection in ensuring every individual and family has the resources they need to thrive.

We hope you'll join us on May 27th from 9:00 - 11:00 at Royal Missionary Baptist church for this important discussion.

About the Initiative

Our Conversations on Health bring together community members, health professionals, policymakers, and more to explore and address the deep-rooted issues that contribute to health differences. We provide a welcoming and inclusive space for participants to share their experiences, insights, and solutions.

What to Expect

  • Engaging Speaker: Engage in thought-provoking discussions led by experts in the field of community health. These forums provide a platform for participants to ask questions, share experiences, and gain new perspectives.

  • Networking: We believe that we are only stronger together. That is why at all of our events we include ample time for participants to connect with other like-minded professionals so we can continue to improve our work united.

Our Goals

  • Raise Awareness: Highlight the impact of health differences and underlying causes of health in our communities on healthcare access and outcomes.

  • Amplify Voices: Ensure that the perspectives and experiences of often overlooked  communities are heard and valued.

  • Promote Action: Develop and share actionable strategies to address health differences within our region.
