Jessica Goodwin

Jessica Goodwin is nearing the end of her second year as the Faith Based Victim Services (FBVS) Program Coordinator for the Coastal Region with the South Carolina Victim Assistance Network. Jessica is based along the coast and works closely with her Program Director, Roger Acton. In compliment to her SCVAN work, Jessica serves on the Tri-County Human Trafficking Task Force as a Co-Chair for the Interfaith Subcommittee and on the Tri-County Victims Council. Jessica also serves on the Tri-County Faith Based Task Force. At the state level, Jessica serves on the SC World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Task Force, which promotes elder abuse awareness and prevention across the state. In addition, she serves on the SC Forensic Nurse Examiner Task Force. Jessica has served as a sexual assault victim advocate since 2015 and regularly volunteers her time to rape crisis centers along the coast. Jessica has a strong passion for suicide prevention, especially for military members suffering with PTSD, and she often volunteers her time to this cause. Prior to Jessica’s victims services call, she worked in marketing and attended college full time. Jessica holds a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Troy University. Jessica is a proud former military spouse, as her husband, Chris, retired in 2024 after serving 20 years in the United States Air Force. Together, they are blessed with two young sons: Coleson and Maddox.
