Joe Longo

Joe Longo, RPH, MHA is a Clinical Pharmacist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in mental health and addiction medication. As the manager of Dottie's Specialty Pharmacy, Joe oversees patient care coordination and ensures the efficient operation of the pharmacy.

A graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy with a Master's in Health Systems Administration, Joe is deeply involved in community health, serving on the Berkley County Opiate Abuse Prevention and Overdose Fatality Review Boards. He also consults as a toxicology expert for the Berkeley County Coroner.

Joe co-founded the Prescription Education Partnership & Prevention Initiative (PEPPI) at the Medical University of South Carolina to educate healthcare students on overdose prevention. He is also a long-time preceptor for pharmacy students and serves on the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy Compounding Committee.

Beyond his professional roles, Joe volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem for Dorchester County, advocating for children affected by opioid abuse and mental health challenges.
